Learning Centre

Our learning Centre is in the St Luke’s community room on the corner of Queen Charlotte Drive and Kenepuru Road in the Marlborough Sounds.

Students at work

We are fortunate to have such a comfortable and well appointed centre in which to hold classes and meetings. During the past year we have updated our equipment in order to keep abreast of the latest developments in technology. These updates include both hardware and software. However we are able to cater for students with older operating systems.

Tutors

We are fortunate to have a dedicated team of tutors with many years of experience in teaching senior students. They have been trained to meet the requirements of the tertiary education commission and most of them have learned about their subjects through SeniorNet classes. As seniors themselves they appreciate the learning difficulties experienced by people in this age group and have access to aids for those with disabilities.

Classes are fun with lots of laughs and times to share ideas and experiences. Students have the advantage of one tutor to every two students. Teaching aids include an excellent range of manuals, a projector and many examples of work.
